The NOSM model

The mayors of Thunder Bay, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie advocated for a northern medical school that would promote rural and remote primary care. During the bus triptrip, the mayors of Wawa and Sault Ste Marie bought our meals, whilemeals and the chief of M’Chigeeng (Manitoulin Island) welcomed us to the culture centre presentations. The communities spoke with great pride about what they had to offer students and physicians who came to their clinics.
